This type of visa allows you to live in Spain without the need to work, as long as you have sufficient income to support yourself. It was specially designed for retired people or those who wish to spend a sabbatical season in a safe environment, with pleasant weather, healthy gastronomy, rich culture and access to a first class health system.

Are you interested in obtaining this visa? Here are the requirements you should bear in mind:

Proof of the applicant’s minimum income of 400% of the IPREM (2024), equivalent to €2,400 per month, or €33,600 over 14 months.

Relocation-Expats-Spain-Visa

If the applicant travels with beneficiary family members, he/she is required to prove each family member’s income (spouse and children under 18 years of age), 100% of the IPREM equivalent to 600€ per month, which means 8,400€ over 14 months.

To be enrolled in a public or private health insurance policy with an insurance company authorized to operate in Spain.

Not having a criminal record during the last 5 years in Spain or other countries where he/she has lived.

Not to be illegally (without following the rules of permanence in the territory) in the Spanish territory.

To have a valid passport for at least one year.
