Partners must:
Be over 18 years old or legally emancipated minors
Have lived together in a stable relationship for at least 12 months
Have a marital status of single, widowed, divorced, or legally separated
Ensure that at least one partner is registered (empadronado) in a municipality within the Community of Madrid
Additionally, partners must not:
Be married to another person
Be registered in another domestic partnership
Be closely related (up to the third degree)

1. Prepare the documentation

In person at the official registry offices
3. Attend the registration appointment
Both partners must attend the appointment together at the Registry of Domestic Partnerships in Madrid, accompanied by two adult witnesses who confirm that the couple has lived together in a stable relationship.
Registration Fee
Registering a domestic partnership in Spain requires the payment of an administrative fee.
Registration fee: €82.12
The payment must be completed before the appointment using Form 030, which can be paid through authorized banks of the Community of Madrid.
