After living in several countries across Europe, Finn and Kai, an Austrian couple, weren’t simply looking for another place to move. They were searching for somewhere they could truly feel at home.

Their story goes far beyond paperwork and residence certificates. Like many European citizens, they initially believed that relocating to Spain would be straightforward. After all, they already held EU citizenship. But as they quickly discovered, understanding local bureaucracy, completing the necessary registrations, obtaining their EU Registration Certificate (CUE), and navigating the different administrative requirements proved far more complex than expected.
